On-Site Consultations and
Estimates Our initial customer
meeting is preceded by us sending
you a "Create-A-Paradise" DVD which we would like you to view so
that you can see some fantastic "completed" water features. This DVD will give
you some great ideas and provide you with many answers to various questions
that you may have regarding having a water garden or pondless waterfall
professionally installed.
After viewing the DVD, we will follow-up
with a visit to your residence or place of business. The on-site visit
includes a one hour on-site design consultation in which we provide you
with different construction options, layout designs and ideas, as well as
completely reviewing the entire pond ecosystem with you so that you
understand how the various components\elements are designed to work and
the function and value of each of them.
Following the on-site visit, we will mail you a
detailed estimate for the construction of your desired water feature. We
charge $75 for the on-site consultation\estimate in the general
MetroWest area of Massachusetts, and if you decide to move forward and
have us install your water feature, we will apply the $75 towards the
project costs. It's a win-win for you! You get an hour of on-site,
personalized and experienced design consultation with a Certified
Aquascape Contractor as well as a detailed project costing estimate -
something that is very valuable in itself AND if you have us complete the
project, it's all FREE!

Pondless Water Falls and
Streams If you love the appearance
and sound of running water but do not want to have a pond, you may be
interested in having us install a "pondless" waterfall and stream to your
property. This option gives the home owner, especially those with
young children, all the benefits of having your own professionally
installed water feature without having to worry about the safety of your
children or the general maintenance of a pond. (back to

Plant and Rock
Aquascaping Plants are very important
to a healthy water garden and we offer expert advice on all types of
aquatic plants; lilies, lotus, marginals, oxygenators. We can help
you strategize what plants to include in your pond and how many of each
variety you should you have to help keep your water clear and algae down.
We also provide natural rock-scaping to help out those "Do It Yourselfers"
that want that professional installation and natural look to their own
pond creations. (back to top)
Spring Pond
Cleanouts The key to a happy and
healthy water garden often starts with a good and thorough Spring
Cleaning! We offer expert service in providing a complete Spring
Clean Out program to give your water garden a super jump start for the
whole pond season.
A MetroWest Water Garden Designs Spring Cleanout
consists of:
- Removing all fish, frogs, tadpoles, turtle, etc...
from your pond and placing them in specialized holding tanks.
- Draining your pond
- Removing all loose debris and cleaning the rocks
and liner inside the pond.
- Trimming back and fertilizing all of your existing
aquatic plants
- Cleaning and reinstalling filters and
bio-media
- Installing and reconnecting pumps
- Providing an initial beneficial bacteria treatment
to the pond and filter media
- Refilling the pond with clean, new,
treated water (approx. 1/4 of original water supply is maintained
in tanks and re-added back into the pond for the health and welfare of
the fish and aquatic life).
- Returning the pond critters and plants to their
clean, new environment.

Winter Pond
Shutdowns If your pond or water
feature is powered by a pump running at less than 7500 gph, chances are,
if you live in New England, you may need to shutdown your system for the
winter. If so, call us to help! We will remove your existing
pumps and filters and prepare your pond for the winter by removing all
loose leaves and debris and installing an aeration pump for your
fish. We also recommend keeping a de-icer on hand for those really
cold spells that Old Man Winter tends to throw our way each
year. (back to top)
