Boston,
Mass – The theme for the 2006 New England Flower Show was "Welcome
Home", so what better way to welcome someone home in New England than to
recreate a natural stream and pond surrounded by all native New England trees,
shrubs and perennials which is what award-winning MetroWest Water Gardens
designed and constructed for this year's show.

"We
really wanted to focus on creating a display that would look as natural as
possible so that it would appear as if the show visitors just stumbled
across the cascading brook in the woods and, based on all the positive feedback
from the judges and the almost 100,000 show attendees, we hit it out of the
park on this one" said Tom Frost, owner of MetroWest Water Gardens.

“Much
like our success with the 2006 Central Massachusetts Flower Show this
past February, the waterfalls, the pond, the fish and the turtles, which
the children really enjoyed feeding and watching, were all a big hit. The
friendly critters really made the exhibit one of the favorites for the many
show attendees that stopped by, with Gilligan, the turtle, often stealing the
show with his hilarious antics."

"We are very proud of the awards we received, especially having been named
recipient of the Parcher Award for excellence in landscape design. We
were up against 15 other exhibits for the award and came out on top, so it was
a very special moment when we learned we had been chosen as the winner"
said Frost.
