MetroWest Water Gardens wins first place in Large Landscape Exhibit Division at the Central Mass Flower Show
February 26, 2006
Worcester, Mass – The beautiful “Backyard Escape”
created by MetroWest Water Gardens, along with Kingston Nursery, Dragonfly Ponds
and Thyme in the Garden was awarded first place by the judges in the Large
Landscape division at the Central Massachusetts Flower Show.
The “little piece
of paradise indoors” featured waterfalls and streams running around a small,
sandy beach and under a bridge into a pond filled with fish and turtles. The
award-winning exhibit was enhanced with an array of beautiful flowers, trees and
shrubs.

“We were very pleased with how spectacular the exhibit
turned out” said Tom Frost, owner of MetroWest Water Gardens. “We were given
three days to transform a plain cement floor into an indoor wonderland and the
end result was absolutely stunning.”
“The biggest draw
for the exhibit were the waterfalls, the pond, the fish and the turtles, which
the children really enjoyed feeding and watching. The friendly critters really
made the exhibit one of the favorites for the many show attendees that stopped
by. We also added a fogger that created a cool, foggy mist over the pond” added
Frost.

“We want to extend
a special thanks to Jim Ruprecht from Kingston Nursery for his help on the
construction of the display. Working alongside a fellow Aquascape CAC is always
a joy, but Jim takes it to the next level when it comes to teamwork. Thank
you Jim!”
